My name is Simon Calero. I’m a writer based in New York.

At Antioch University Los Angeles, I’m pursuing my MFA in Poetry and Fiction while working on my forthcoming novel — Beautiful Emilio — and a collection of visual poems.

Previously, I’ve worked as a costume designer throughout Los Angeles (Gold Rising AMPAS), an elementary teacher in Texas, and a 501(c)(3) social-emotional learning coordinator in Santa Monica.
